Wrapping up our time in NY

Wrapping up our time in NY

We had more birthdays to celebrate when we returned back to Long Island.  It was such a treat to be able to celebrate my mom’s birthday with her, she usually runs off to the mountains.  And then we were happy to spend the day with Uncle Drew to celebrate his birthday as well, splashing in his family’s pool and eating all sorts of treats.

We spent the last 2 weeks here gearing up for our big take off, the one without a definitive end.  We spent some more time with great friends, lots of time playing with Pan, Amelia dove in deeper to her new love of fashion design, and I got a new lens.  We call him Eric, the kids call it my “animal” lens, although it took a pretty cool photo of the moon.  We continued to homeschool, my dad even agreed to be a substitute teacher one day when I had to run errands, and we tried to rest and connect before setting out.

On the morning that we set out Pan knew something was up, so much energy in the house.  My mom made it up into the RV to see our new home.  It took us a very long time to do all the systematic checks, we were out of practice.  My dad waited on the porch for what must have seemed like an eternity as we settled back into driving our 65’ of fun to wave us off.
